Supporting the Crossroads Foundation, Hong Kong

At Virax Biolabs, we believe strongly in corporate social responsibility and providing support to our communities in need. As part of this commitment, Virax Biolabs is proud to have recently made a donation of essential protective equipment to the Crossroads Foundation in Hong Kong.

Crossroads Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Hong Kong that serves global needs by connecting those in need with those who can provide help. They offer four main services: global distributions, welfare, development, and relief. Through global distributions, they provide aid for relief and development in over 90 countries and in Hong Kong. They actively support the Social Welfare Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and various non-governmental organizations (“NGOs”) in Hong Kong to assist individuals and families in vulnerable circumstances. Their development program focuses on addressing entrenched poverty by redistributing quality goods donated by the Hong Kong community to NGOs worldwide. They also engage in relief efforts, targeting disaster reduction, prepositioning, and response. In addition to their services, Crossroads Foundation offers Global X-periences, experiential programs that allow participants to gain firsthand insights into global issues related to poverty, war, health, and more. They also operate Global Hand, a virtual warehouse connecting people with goods or services to donate with NGOs seeking them globally. Furthermore, Crossroads Foundation supports fair trade and social enterprises through their Global Handicrafts shop and Silk Road Café, providing economic opportunities to those in need.

To support the excellent work and values of the Crossroads Foundation, the Virax Biolabs team was pleased to donate essential protective equipment. The donated masks, gloves, hand wipes, pulse oximeters, and infrared thermometers protect essential workers, aid in health screening, and maintain hygiene protocols. With this, our team hopes that we are able to help the Crossroads Foundation contribute to both the overall resilience and the immediate needs of the communities they serve.
